I just wanted to say that I met Kevin only one time, but for that 15 minutes or so, I felt like we had known each other from somewhere else ? We didn't of course, but Kevin made me feel like he was being straight with me and anything I asked, I could trust Kevin would give me his best answer. He was a very nice guy to me and I felt comfortable listening to him. To me ? He was a very smart man in the racing Industry, and It was an Honor getting that 15 minutes to talk with him. I liked his Ora, his being. He will forever be missed in the racing world,at least from me. . . . . Dwane Schultz .. . . Godspeed Kevin . .

I live only 5 miles away from I-80 speedway and my dads truck shop is located right in front of the speedway and that was a very sad day

I went to school with Kevin in New Oxford and he was always into cart racing. I am so glad he got to fullfill his dreams. He will be missed and will always be a winner in my book. He fullfilled his dreams.

I wish i could have met kevin.I never got the chance but for some reason i took a strong liking to him before he got into th amaco 93.I have my own personal tribute to kevin at my house that i hope to share if people are interested.But ever since i stared racing i have raced a number 93 throughout go carts and now into sprint cars.my ultimate goal in sprint car racing is to win the kevin gobrecht rookie of the year,just because his name was involved.

my dad told me lots of stories about kevin like when he raced with kevin in the micros at hill valley he said kevin would always come over and talk to him.
i always wanted to meet him but never got a chance everyone said he was a hell of a nice guy to meet. my dad has one of kevins carburators off of his one micro that he gave him it up at hill valley one day. so keep racing up there in heaven kevin we still remeber u down here. Derek Wagner 5W

I raced the Trailway National in Kevins memory.I race the interstate batteries #18 and led lap 1 thru lap 40 in the 50 lap race only to finish second which was a heartbreaker as I got second in 05' also ...I will keep coming back to this race till I win it as it is not about the money but about it being in kevins name as he was my favorite driver and I still think about him alot ,Hpoefully next year I can hold that check up in the air with Kevin Gobrechts name on it...and talk about my memories I have of kevin...

RIP... he was a great driver. he was one of the best that ever drove a WoO Sprintcar. he could never be replaced. Sorry for the loss. he will always be remembered.
