2013 KGM SCHOLARSHIP
APPLICATION
The Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Fund will award the
thirteenth annual memorial scholarship to a student / race fan
through local race tracks. Both education and racing were
important to Kevin, and we feel that this $2,000 scholarship,
given in Kevin’s memory, will benefit someone with a desire for
and respect for education, as well as honor Kevin’s love of
racing.
Qualifications: Must be enrolled at an accredited college or
technical or business school. No specific major is required, but
the school must be a 2 or 4-year facility.

KGM GOLF CLASSIC SUPPORTERS
The 2012 Kevin Gobrecht Memorial Golf
Classic was once again a big success. It was a beautiful day in
Mechanicsburg at the Silver Spring Golf Club. A big thank you goes
out to our 70 sponsors and all the players and volunteers.
Congratulations to T. Kehler, J. McElhenie, L. Dollansky and M.
Darrah on winning this years tournament.

KEVIN GOBRECHT: THE LIFE AND TIMES OF THE G-MAN
Feiser's Funeral Home is located on Route 30, just a few blocks
west of the square in New Oxford, Pennsylvania. On a rainy night in late Sept.,
it wasn't hard to find. The line of mourners stretched for several blocks. The
average wait was four hours. But they waited. In the rain. They had come to pay their
respects to Kevin Gobrecht, a local hero, who died at age 30 in a sprint car crash
at I-80 Speedway near Greenwood, Nebraska.They came from near and far, some in
suits and ties, some in sprint car T-shirts. And they waited. In the
